MacDonald Landscaping, a well-established family-run business with over 30 years of experience in the industry, is looking to expand our dedicated team. We provide high-quality landscaping and ground care services to both residential and commercial clients across Caithness, from small gardens to large country estates.
About the role:
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will play a key role in delivering top-tier services to our valued customers. You will be responsible for a variety of landscaping and maintenance tasks, ensuring our clients’ outdoor spaces are well-kept, healthy, and visually appealing.
Key responsibilities:
- Grounds maintenance and general garden upkeep
- Lawn and tree planting, seeding, and turfing
- Lawn renovation, including scarifying and over-seeding
- Vegetation management and weed control
- Tree felling, chipping, and stump grinding (arboriculture)
- Private and commercial garden maintenance
- Tree, shrub, and hedge planting
- Grass cutting and lawn care
- Snow clearing and gritting during the winter months
- Assisting with land reinstatement and reclamation projects
What we are looking for:
- Experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance (preferred but not essential)
- A passion for working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- A full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
