As Kitchen Assistant, your key responsibilities include:
- Food Preparation: Assist with basic food prep such as chopping vegetables and measuring ingredients.
- Cleaning and Sanitising: Keep kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils clean, including dishwashing, sweeping, and mopping.
- Stock Management: Receive/store deliveries and ensure ingredients are correctly labelled.
- Support to Chef: Provide assistance by bringing ingredients and organising prep areas.
- Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety rules, including proper food handling and storage.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience: Previous kitchen experience helpful but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Able to stand for long periods.
- Teamwork: Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Able to follow instructions accurately and maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Food Safety: Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate required.
- Punctuality & Reliability: Consistently dependable and on time.
- Enthusiasm & Initiative: Willing to learn and take on tasks proactively.
Extra Information
Working hours typically from 10:30am to 4pm. Seasonal position, working from 1st May to 30th September with flexible full-time or part-time options available. Due to location transport is essential. Uniform will be provided.
