With 19 campuses and centres across the North and West Highlands, Skye, and Outer Hebrides, we cover a geographic area larger than Wales, comprising 40% of Scotland’s coastline. Our campuses and centres are located within historic towns and villages, set amongst the shorelines, mountains, and moors, with local staff working across our region to support our students and communities.  

Position:

We are seeking an Offshore Wind Project Coordinator, to be based at our Stornoway or Thurso campus.

Responsibilities:

The post holders will be responsible for:

  • Initiate and coordinate the Offshore Wind programme, establishing a project footing connecting with stakeholders and other bodies required to deliver outcomes of programme.

Work closely with relevant industry employers and partners to deliver the following outcomes of the programme:

  • Apprentice Enhancement for additional Offshore Wind course content
  • Targeted Upskilling for Supply Chain
  • Internships with OW Industry Partners (New Activity)
  • Upskill college staff to support offshore wind supply chain
  • Upskill college staff in offshore wind skills and qualifications

Report to internal and external project partnership Boards and Committees.

Provide effective budget management for the specific outcomes of the programme.

Contribute to the development and implementation of UHI North, West and Hebrides, UHI policies and strategies.

Other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required, commensurate with the grade.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

The suitable candidates will hold a relevant qualification in the subject area – at minimum SCQF 10 or have comparable knowledge and experience in a relevant industry.

A level of Gaelic ability would be advantageous to your application.
