Norbloc Construction Ltd have a vacancy for a part time QHSE Manager (Hybrid working) who will be responsible for leading, developing, and maintaining integrated management systems for Quality, Health, Safety & Environment across their projects.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead, develop, and maintain an Integrated Management System (IMS) aligned with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) standards.
- Act as the company’s competent person under CDM 2015 Regulations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor QHSE policies and procedures.
- Compile Construction Phase Plans in compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections.
- Oversee subcontractor and evaluate performance against quality and safety standards.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and review construction site plans.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, manage waste tracking systems, and oversee spill response/dust management.
Training & Culture
Manage the company training matrix and competency framework and ensure training courses are kept up to date.
Deliver toolbox talks, provide safety advice and promote a positive reporting culture.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in a QHSE role within the construction sector.
- NEBOSH/IOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification).
- Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 and Health & Safety At Work Act 1974.
- Strong leadership, communication, and digital competence (IT skills).
