Job Description
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assistant quarry manager in day to day running works and co-ordination of quarry staff.
- Assist quarry manager in managing checks and inspections, preparing schedules, reporting on material quantiles, testing requirements and mix designs.
- Assist the lab technician in testing of all quarry materials, including aggregates, concrete, asphalt and concrete blocks.
- Work alongside our quarry team assisting in the production of all materials.
- Operate Concrete Plant and Asphalt Plant.
- Undertake quality control checks to ensure work meets our high standards.
- Track any changes on testing requirements, standards, and mix designs.
- Assist Quarry manager in undertaking internal Quality audits and represent company on external audits to ensure continued renewal of ISO certification.
Requirements:
- Experience within quarry or construction industry.
- A full UK Driving license.
- Someone who can work as part of a team and as an individual.
- Good communications skills and able to build working relationships.
- A general understanding of industry standards and best practices.
Desirable: (but not essential)
- Some entry level experience in materials testing, tar plant and concrete plant production.
- CSCS card or quarry passport.
- Good knowledge and understanding of quarry operations and products.
