The Restaurant Supervisor will lead by example, coordinate closely with the kitchen and management teams, and coach employees to deliver a consistently welcoming dining experience.

  • Train, coach, and support new and existing team members while reinforcing restaurant policies and service standards.
  • Ensure that the team has a clear understanding of each dish, the drinks menu, the business and its own products.
  • Coordinate with kitchen employees to maintain service speed, order accuracy, product availability, and clear communication.
  • Monitor the presentation, cleanliness, and readiness of the dining area, service stations, toilets, and other guest-facing spaces.
  • Ensure compliance with food-safety procedures, hygiene standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Take responsibility for opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, till reconciliation, security checks, and shift reporting.
  • Monitor stock levels for beverages, service supplies, and operating materials; report shortages and assist with stock checks.
  • Encourage appropriate suggestive selling to increase guest satisfaction using product knowledge.
  • Record incidents, customer feedback, wastage, breakages, attendance issues, and other relevant shift information.
  • Identify operational problems and recommend practical improvements to restaurant management.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or food-service environment is required.
  • Previous experience as a supervisor, team leader or senior member of waiting staff is preferred.
  • A food-safety, food-handling, or hygiene certificate is preferred or may be required under local regulations.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.
