We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Tearoom Baker to join our friendly team for the seasonal period. This role focuses on producing high-quality baked goods—especially scones, cakes, and soups—that uphold the warm, homemade feel of our tearoom. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of fresh scones, cakes, traybakes, and other baked goods daily.
- Make homemade soups, ensuring seasonal variation and consistent quality.
- Follow tearoom recipes and presentation standards while maintaining excellent taste and texture.
- Manage baking schedules to ensure items are ready ahead of peak service times.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with food hygiene standards.
- Label, store, and rotate products according to food safety guidelines.
- Assist with occasional development of new recipes or seasonal specials.
- Collaborate with the tearoom team to support smooth daily operations.
Skills & Experience:
- Good practical experience making soups, cakes, scones, and simple catering food.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is required)
- Friendly, reliable, and able to adapt to the needs of a busy tearoom environment
Extra Information
Seasonal position with flexible full-time or part-time options, working from 1st May to 30th September. Due to location transport is essential. Uniform will be provided.
