BES currently have a job vacancy for a Welder Fabricator who will be based at our facility in Bower, by Wick, Caithness.

As a Welder Fabricator within BES, you will be working from our site in Bower and on other site works locations around Caithness, supporting our growing business in the Nuclear Decommissioning, Construction and Renewable Energy sectors. You will be responsible for providing fitting, fabricating and welding support to our various projects.
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7.30am to 4.45pm, Friday, 7.30am to 12.30pm

Key Responsibilities
- Welding different materials (carbon & stainless steel & aluminium)
- Welding using different welding processes
- Welding butts and fillets to a high standard
- Main process – FCAW / MAG / TIG
- Adhering to all SHE related standards associated with welding
- Fabrication activities
- Read engineering drawings and produce fabrications/weld to a high standard of finish on own initiative.
- To work on product and equipment prototyping.
- To ensure safe working practices at all times.
- Work within an ISO Quality Management System.
- Be able to effectively feedback design information to the design team.
Required Skills, Experience and Competencies
- Must have completed a relevant Engineering Apprenticeship or appropriate level of relevant experience.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must have good written and spoken communication skills.
- Must be well organised and work well under pressure.
- Previous experience in the Nuclear Decommissioning Industry is an advantage.
