This well signposted walk begins at the stunning white sands of Achmelvich Beach then proceeds North along the coastline over the heather-covered rocky landscape where you’ll come onto a stunning and secluded hidden bay.

This beach is perfect for any wildlife hunters as there is plenty of creepy crawlies both on the beach living in the distinct rock formations and up the stream before the river meets the coast, this area is teeming with hidden beasties.  

There’s also a historic aspect to this walk for anyone who has an interest in the past ways of working the land. You will also pass the remains of Alltanabradhan Mill, built around 1760 with clear information boards.   

This walk offers the perfect opportunity for anyone wanting to get lost in the tranquillity and solitude of the silver sands and crystal-clear waters of the West Coast, without the bustlings of other people.
