Embo Beach

Embo Beach is a family favourite. It is wide, sandy, and peaceful. It’s perfect for little explorers and big adventures. The shallow waters and gently sloping shore are great for paddling and beach games and the long sandy stretches are great for dog walking, building sandcastles and enjoying a beach picnic with views across the Dornoch Firth - you might even spot seals basking on the rocks.

There is a small, free, public car park located at the north-east corner of the village.

A short walk from the beach is the small village of Embo, home to Grannie’s Heilan’ Hame Holiday Park. A coastal path walk or short drive will take you into nearby Dornoch, where you’ll find shops, cafés, ice cream stops, and family-friendly restaurant, play park, putting green, and plenty of space for kids to run around.
