Golspie Beach

Running along the edge of the village, Golspie Beach is a long, gently sloping stretch of sand and shingle, perfect for family outings, beachcombing, or a peaceful coastal walk. Backed by a charming esplanade and overlooked by the dramatic hills behind Ben Bhraggie, it’s a fantastic place to enjoy the Highland sea air and views across the Moray Firth.

The often calm water and gentle sloping shoreline at this beach mean it’s a popular spot for paddling and swimming, and lucky visitors might even spot dolphins offshore.

Golspie has a friendly village atmosphere with a good selection of amenities. There are independent shops, a pharmacy, public toilets, a post office, campsites and several places to eat. Golspie is also home to the fairytale-esque Dunrobin Castle, one of the North Highlands’ top visitor attractions, with beautiful gardens, tea-rooms, and falconry displays.

The village has its own golf course, tennis court and bowling club and a local kart track, and there are great scenic walks around the area, including the beautiful Big Burn with its fantastic waterfall.
