Skelbo woods has something for every member of the family to enjoy and look out for. The wildlife fanatics can enjoy the forest-dwelling birds and beasties which reside in both the woods and in around the pond area right at the start of the walk, as well as Skelbo Burn. History buffs will also enjoy the ruins of an iron age broch, ruined croft houses and some impressive historical dry-stone dykes. The younger explorers in the family can also enjoy hunting out the intricate wood-carved creatures dotted all over the walk, a surprise around every corner!
