They might only take 10 minutes to walk down, but these ancient steps will take you centuries back in time. Cut into a steep cliff face, the 330 Whaligoe Steps lead down to a tiny harbour once used by fisherwomen hauling baskets of herring up and down. It’s steep and can be slippery, but the views at the bottom are completely worth it. You’re surrounded by towering cliffs, crashing waves, and the kind of peace that makes you want to just sit and listen. If you like a bit of adventure with your sea air, this one’s for you.
