Gow’s are a leading mechanical engineering contractor delivering high-quality solutions across a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. With a growing portfolio and exciting upcoming contracts, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator / Contracts Manager to join our experienced team.

Gow’s is recruiting an Estimator / Contracts Manager with experience in the fabrication industry to join our team. This role involves preparing estimates, managing contracts, and supporting project delivery from start to finish. We are also open to considering trainee applicants who have completed a time-served apprenticeship in Fitting or Welding and are looking to grow their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for fabrication projects.
  • Produce and compile detailed tender submissions.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and client requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Manage contracts from award to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and coordinate with workshop and site teams.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, variations, payment applications, and final accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with clients and subcontractors
